Roampurse is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). The points below add to it; if anything here conflicts with Apple’s EULA, Apple’s EULA applies.
Exchange rates are for information
Roampurse shows reference rates published by the European Central Bank and the National Bank of Poland. In the ECB’s own words, “The reference rates are published for information purposes only.” They are not the rate your bank, card or exchange office will charge you, and they can be days old when you’re offline (the app always shows their date). Don’t use them to trade currency. If you need your totals to match a statement, enter your own rate.
Not financial advice
Roampurse helps you keep track of what you spend. It isn’t financial, tax or legal advice. Budgets, forecasts, “what’s left today”, balances between people and suggested payments are arithmetic on the numbers you enter. Information about tax-free shopping or tipping, where shown, is general, comes from the official source it cites, and doesn’t promise any refund or amount. Check anything important with your bank, the tax office or your employer.
Your data and your group
You’re responsible for what you enter and for whom you share a trip with. When you share a trip, the people you invite can see and edit it. Keep a copy of anything you can’t afford to lose: Roampurse lets you export a CSV or a full copy at any time, free.
Subscriptions and purchases
Roampurse is free to download and use, with no limit on trips or expenses. Roampurse Pro is sold through the App Store in three ways:
- Lifetime: one payment of US$29.99. Not a subscription.
- Yearly: US$14.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or of the current year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends.
- Travel pass: one payment of US$4.99 for 30 days of Pro. It doesn’t renew and you won’t be charged again.
Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your country before you confirm. Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How to cancel
On your iPhone, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions, choose Roampurse and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal (or before the end of the free trial) to avoid the next charge. Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Apple explains the steps for every device here. The lifetime purchase and the travel pass have nothing to cancel.
When Pro ends, nothing you added is locked. Your trips, expenses and receipts stay yours to see, edit and export, and you can always see balances and settle up.
Links and other services
Payment buttons open a payment app, such as PayPal or Venmo, with an amount filled in; the payment itself happens in that app, under its own terms. Roampurse never moves money.
